Presenter Information

Important Note:

Each paper must be presented in person by one of its authors. Presentations by proxy or non-authors will not be accepted. Papers without a physical, in-person presentation will be considered no-shows and will be removed from the program.

Oral Presentations (including Doctoral Symposium)

Please prepare your oral presentation and have it saved on a USB drive. It should be copied to the presentation laptop at the Presentation Room at least 15 minutes before the start of your scheduled session.

Regular Paper Presentation Format:

• All Oral Presentations will be allocated 15-minutes in the program. This 15-minutes is inclusive of 12-minutes for the presentation and 3-minutes of Q&A.
• Please ensure that any presentation slides you are using for your presentation are in PowerPoint format.
• The slide aspect ratio for your presentation should be set to 16:9. To change the aspect ratio on PPT go to the ‘Design’ tab at the top then select ‘Slide Size’ (usually located on the far right) here you will find the ratio options.

Poster Presentations

You will need to create your poster based on the specifications below and have it printed ready to display on your allocated poster board on your presentation day. Posters will be hung in the foyer of the conference venue.

Regular Paper Poster Presentation Format:

• A0 in size (one page only). Can be in landscape or portrait format.
• Colour printed (on paper or material).
• Ensure your poster is on the correct board on your presentation day.
• Hang your poster from half an hour before your allocated session (unless there is another consecutive poster session after your session) and remove it at the end of the session. Unremoved posters will be disposed of.

Poster presenters are encouraged to stand alongside their posters during the poster session to answer questions. International authors should print their posters before arriving in Malaysia.

Demo Presentation

You are required to create a pre-recorded presentation video to be shown alongside your Demo. The duration of your pre-recorded presentation video should not exceed 5 minutes. You should be next to your Demo during the Demo session. Each physical demo will be provided with a monitor, a table, wireless internet and an electrical outlet. You need to bring any other equipment by yourself. Please pack up your demo at the end of the demo session.

Workshop Format Requirements:

• You will receive instructions from your workshop organisers via email from Workshop Chairs or the respective Workshops’ websites for the presentation mode, slot and duration. For further enquiries, please contact the Workshop Chairs.
