Call for Tutorial Proposal

Overview

We are soliciting proposals for tutorials to be held in conjunction with the ACM Multimedia Asia 2025. The tutorials should aim to give a comprehensive review of a specific topic related to multimedia. The topic should be of sufficient relevance and importance to attract significant interest from the multimedia community. Typical tutorial audiences consist of graduate students, researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry. We invite proposals for half-day tutorials.

Proposal Format

Each tutorial proposal (maximum 4 pages, in PDF format) must include:
1. Title of the tutorial
2. Tutorial organizers (name, contact and short biography)
3. Scope and topics of the tutorial
- Rationale
- Why is the tutorial related to ACM Multimedia Asia 2024?
- Why the topic is important?
- Why may the tutorial attract a reasonable number of attendees?
- A brief biography for each organizer
5. Tutorial details:
- Tutorial title
- Organizers' names, titles, affiliations, emails, and brief sketches
- Course description with topics to be covered, along with a brief outline or schedule
- Particular details that might be unique to the proposed tutorial
- Expected target audience, in terms of both composition and estimated number of attendees
- Description of links to any planned materials or resources to be distributed to attendees
- A description of how this proposal relates to tutorials at previous conferences
- Names of potential participants and invited speakers (if any)
- Organizers are expected to be fully committed and physically/virtually present at the tutorial

Proposal Submission deadline: August 30, 2025
Proposal Notification of acceptance: September 27, 2025
